Big Bang released their latest Japanese album "BIGBANG2" on May 11th and topped the Oricon Album Daily Chart at #1 with 23,993 units sold. The Korean group bumped Namie Amuro's "Checkmate!" down from first to second.
Big Bang released their 2nd studio album "BIGBANG" in 2009 and placed 2nd on the Oricon Album Daily Chart on its first day. In addition, Big Bang won the Best 5 New Artist and Best New Artist award at the 24th Japan Gold Disc Awards in 2010. Since then, Big Bang's popularity in seen growth in popularity. "BIGBANG2" has a total of 10 tracks and includes the Japanese version of "Tonight," "Stupid Liar" (retitled to "Ms. Liar"), and "Love Song." Big Bang are currently on their Japan tour, "Love & Hope 2011."
