[NEWS] Korean boy band BEAST impresses with top-notch fan service

BEAST
They may have debuted under two years, but Korean pop act BEAST is currently one of the most sought-after groups in Korea.

Two months ago, the six-member boy band released their first full-length album Fiction and Fact, which topped all major music charts in Korea. Their title song ‘Fiction’ had also bagged the top spots on several music programs.
On Jul 2, BEAST arrived in Singapore as part of their Asian tour. This was their third trip to Singapore.
Fans started queuing up at The Max Pavilion — where the fan meeting was held — at an early hour, although the meet-the-fans session was scheduled to start only at 5pm.
Official limited edition memorabilia were also sold at the venue. All items were limited to 200 pieces and were all sold out within an hour.
More than 3,000 eager fans were present at the event.
Every slightest movement on stage caused the fans to scream non-stop. The most common phrase heard was, “[Member name], I love you!”
BEAST opened with an exploding performance of ‘Special’ and ‘Soom’, and performed a total of nine tracks, including ‘Fiction’ and ‘On Rainy Days’.
While the group gave their all when performing for the local fans, several members looked tired because their schedule for the day had been very packed.

BEAST
As part of their encore performance, BEAST performed ‘V.I.U.’ and took the opportunity to get up-close and personal with their fans.
Other than acting cute and posing for their fans, the sextet even took their fans’ camera to take pictures of themselves. BEAST also comforted fans who began crying because they were so touched by the group’s sweet actions.
Member Gi Kwang even took off his jacket and pulled up his shirt to show off his six-pack, which gave local fans a chance to feast their eyes as he did not do so in Malaysia. BEAST had performed in the neighbouring country the day before.
At the fan meeting, a few lucky fans also had the chance to play bowling with BEAST. Fans, who bought VIP tickets, also had a high-five session with the group after the show.
The organiser also specially prepared a soccer-shaped birthday cake for leader Doo Joon, whose birthday falls on Jul 4.
As part of their Asian tour, BEAST will also be heading to Thailand, Taiwan and Japan. The group will also make an appearance alongside label mates 4Minute and G.Na at the United Cube Concertcome August.
There are rumours that the United Cube Concert may be making a stop in Singapore.
